2. Bidding and Buying

The Bid
After reading this page and the terms and conditions, you may choose to bid on a lot.
To bid, click the words BID under the appropriate item. You will be given a form to fill in. Fill this in with your bid and details, and submit it. It will be received by the webmaster at EDP24.
The amount of the current highest bid will be posted online during office hours 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, updated throughout the day.
If more than one bidder makes a bid of the same amount, the highest bid will be deemed to be that which was received first by the webmaster.
Amounts to bid
You must make your bid in whole pounds.
- For lots with an estimated price of up to £50, you must bid in increments of £1.
- For lots with an estimated price of up to £100, you must bid in increments of £5.
- For lots with an estimated price of over £100, you must bid in increments of £10.
Reserves
Some items may have a reserve price. If a lot does not reach its reserve price, it will be withdrawn.
If a bidder bids above the reserve price, the bid will be entered at the reserve price. If this bid is exceeded by another bidder, a higher bid will automatically be placed by the auction site from the first bidder - and so on.
What happens next
- As a buyer, you will be obligated to complete a transaction with G A Keys if you are the highest bidder at the end of an auction (meeting the applicable minimum bid or reserve requirements) and your bid is accepted.
- If your bid is successful, you will be notified by email. You must then contact Keys to make arrangement for payment and collection, at
Aylsham Salerooms, off Palmers Lane, Aylsham, Norwich. Telephone 01263 733195

- By bidding on an item you agree to be bound by the Keys' conditions of sale. Bids are only retractable in exceptional circumstances, e.g. when the item's description is materially changed after a bid is placed or a clear typographical error is made. As a buyer, you must ensure that you are legally able to bid for and buy any item that you bid for.

- EDP24 and Keys cannot be responsible for technical problems which delay the receipt of the bid
