Norwich Radio Group is a totally locally-based and intends to bring a local flavour back to the airwaves in the city and the surrounding area. The group is bidding to win the licence for a new radio station.

Since being formed, NRG has worked to firmly establish itself by building a strong group of members from within the Norwich community. These include key players in radio locally, businessmen in the city and the Norwich-based Archant publishing/media group.

NRG's aim is to make the proposed new station a really local radio station. It would be locally owned, locally controlled and locally programmed as well. It will have local people making decisions - and they will have the necessary experience and expertise to support the local knowledge and involvement.

NRG see the station as a real part of the community and that means it will both reflect and be involved in city life.

NRG is independent of any large radio company, group, or network outside the area. Operated in Norwich - for Norwich.
