About the Eastern Daily Press
Since October 10, 1870, the Eastern Daily
Press has been the standard bearer for its readers in Norfolk,
north Suffolk and east Cambridgeshire, helping form opinion,
encourage debate, and champion a fair deal for the future
prosperity of the area.
Six
days a week, more than 200,000
readers welcome the EDP into their homes, not simply because
of its ability to entertain and divert, but also because of
its reputation for fair, accurate reporting and authoritative
comment.
Put simply, its word carries weight. Although
embracing the latest technology, and breaking new ground with
regional publishing innovation, one of the strengths of the
EDP has been its continuity - it has always kept its roots
firmly fixed in the local community.
Only 11 people have had the privilege
of editing the country's largest selling regional morning
newspaper. The current Editor is Peter
Franzen who has
edited the Eastern Daily Press since August 1993.
EDP24 is operated by Archant Norfolk, a Division of Archant
Regional Limited, whose registered office is at Prospect House,
Rouen Road, Norwich NR1 1RE.
