Freecycle is a brilliant initiative, however I believe there's a much easier way now, in the UK at least. Have a look at GreenGonzo, a new website at http://www.greengonzo.com - It provides a searchable database so you can just enter a keyword and find what you need. Its a bit like eBay, except everything advertised here is being given away for free including a computer which is up for grabs for anyone in the London area.

Thanks Eamonn, I may well look the website up soon - my computer printer has packed up and will need to be replaced - the repairers won't do anything with it!
