07/08/2005, 4:20 PM Lynda Joined on 22/03/2004 Norwich Posts 2,721 RE: Technical Prob I have the same problem on the EDP forum.   However, if I go into the Evening News forum it appears.   Both forums have the same internet security settings.   One evening I spent ages trying to change my internet security settings only for the posters' names and control box to appear once only - only to disappear the next time I went into the forum!    I go into the Evening News forum if I want to access my Control Box - I give up with the EDP forums for this! Lynda  Technology is great when it works.    Report

I don't have Norton, but it seems that not everyone who has the problem has Norton. Still don't understand why it should work on the EDP but not on the Evening News. What about www.pinkun.com/forums or www.norfolkroots24.co.uk/forums ? Try this: http://forums.livingfrance.com/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=264&MessageID=79160 (use *.edp24.co.uk instead of forums.livingfrance.com or *.livingfrance.com for Norton Personal Firewall advice)    Report

It might be worth looking at http://forums.livingfrance.com/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=264&MessageID=79160 but also take a look at pop-up blockers as these seem to have an effect also.
