Re: Goblin face on Castle Meadow

I have thought about this one Nevermind, and I liked Nick but wondered about.

"Norfolk Nick, Recaptured".   The reason:-

Norwich Prison was the main prison, from which the majority of the folks who had stole that loaf or bread or that lace hankerchief, were transported to the hulks on the Thames for further shipment. .  Also from where the other prisoners from the Aylsham Bridewell, and other prisons ended up, apart from the Borough Gaol in Yarmouth of course..  Hence adding "Norfolk".

The recaptured bit is from that fact that the image has been recaptured or redone etc  and replaced after being mislaid, stolen or lost..

Can we also consider this one.,

Matty.

Re: Goblin face on Castle Meadow

My grandson just suggested " Bush "or "Blair" as they should be stuck on a wall.  But I think that is a bit harsh.  And if we went for Govt type names there would be too many to vote on from all the parties..

I must admit though the face when viewed as per the photo of the Sheringham one,  does make you smile automatically.

Go to the Forum News homepage - at the top of the page is an option Poll. This should help.

Hi Lynda,

Try this page:

http://new.edp24.co.uk/cs/forums/238/ShowForum.aspx

The Poll button is fairly near the top, sat in-between the Post and Search buttons.

Well there was once a company called Goblin.  They made an alarm clock which incorporated a kettle and a teapot, at the appointed hour the kettle would switch on, boil the water and vent it into the teapot.  Once finished the alarm would sound (bit late as the kettle woke you up anyway).  Had you the foresight to put a teabag in the pot your tea would be made - hence the name Teasmade.  Made by Goblin so a Goblin Teasmade.  Maybe the staff did this for you Kenneth?

I don't see it either, with IE or Firefox. It's another one of those forum features that doesn't work, like insert HTML. While I'm moaning I still can't reply using Firefox either.
