I wasn't aware that the right to post on this forum was predicated on a belief in this twaddle. It is an open forum on the subject.

I also did not make any comment about her being a single mother (perhaps your overactive imagination dreamed this up), I simply pointed out that it is wrong to fill children's heads with this nonsense.

Which it is.

how people bring up children is up to the induvidual its only right or wrong in other peoples eyes but nthey needn to keep their noses out and there mouths shut ,if any one told me how and what to do with my kids i will tell them to take a long walk (with a few colourful over imagative comments)
as far as staying on topic why dont you put your money where your very big mouth is and join us on halloween at the thetford warren....apart from getting linched by some of the members here what do you have to lose apart from losing a couple of hour knitting and sitting by the fire  in your slippers waiting for you dog/slave to get  your newspaper....or are you simply scared but dont want to admit it

Not at all, if someone is bringing their child up in a harmful way it is entirely fair to comment in the same way one would comment if they eg saw a child being verbally abused in the street.

On the balance of things, is it more useful to spend one's evening a) knitting and sitting by the fire in my slippers or b) stamping around in the dark watching people jump at their own shadows and create fantasies in their heads.

Most assuredly a).

Very wise. The shutting up thing. I hope the explanation took the form of "there are no such things as ghosts, do not spend the rest of your life believing in something for which there is no evidence".

Since it is you that is claiming that they do exist, the onus us on you to provide the proof.

I'm sure I don't have to go into the issue of the impossibility of proving a negative to you, suffice to say that if I said there was an elephant on Saturn, it would not be for anyone else to prove that there wasn't for it not to be considered false until proven otherwise.

i only claim to an haunting if i have witnessed it myself if other people say a location is haunted then i will go and see for myself if i dont see or feel anything then to me its not haunted but to say ghosts/hauntings dont exsist only cause you say so is  not the way to preach ....or should i say practice what you preach if you can prove they dont exsist as you keep saying then give me the proof ,if you cant prove it then dont preach it...anyway have you knitted me that dr who scarf yet i going to be going out chasing my shadow soon?

Re: Anything happening on the Norfolk Paranormal Scene?
Hi Jenny,

Glad to see there are some half decent folk still about haha! Yeah I moved out in the end as it got worse after I had my baby! Really kicked things off big time and I couldnt stand it anymore - plus it was waking him up screaming. Was a totally horrible place to live in. People used to laugh about it until they saw or heard something - there was a mass of activity there that you just couldnt explain away! Which I tried to do, and still do with things that happen! But when you've exhausted all the "could bes" and things happen on a scale like that then you just have to accept to yourself there's more to life! Mind you if people are sceptical I always say if you havent seen it then theres no reason why you should believe it, but then I dont force people to believe, I just like discussing what I've seen with people who are open minded as it helps to talk about it with others who've had experiences! Otherwise you'll just think you are going mad! To be fair so did my partner til he saw it - and it made sure he saw it!

The paranormal group helped me loads - even they said they'd never experienced anything like my house before which was bit scary! And some people say oh they knew beforehand what was happening, but my landlord just contacted them when it first got bad and when they rang they just said write down everything in a sealed envelope and we'll compare what we find with what you experience. Scarily we had a lot of stuff the same which made me realise I wasnt going mad...but scared me because they had picked it all up 2! spooky! Best thing was the landlord walking in and the light turning itself on and off, then a picture dropping off the wall behind him. It was such a bad place I don't think I'd ever like to go back!

Re: Anything happening on the Norfolk Paranormal Scene?
It really affected my baby which is why I moved out not long after he was born, its on Silver Road. I still see my old neighbour. Funnily enough a religious couple has moved in and although they havent said anything - mind you apparently they dont speak to anyone - my neighbours dog still sits staring at the adjoining wall and howls or barks every now and then, and they still hear noises when there is no one there! It freaked them out as when they knew the house was empty they used to hear people in there! I had an offensive male in the middle bedroom who was rude, and a little boy who hid things in the living room and rattle the door, but there was an entity which was the scary thing! I had 3 separate independent mediums say there was a vortex they couldnt get to close in house! After my experiences I started looking more into it as obviously I then started to realise maybe there is something out there! Biggest disappointment was that one of my friends videoed my room after it was wrecked one night and caught a black shape shooting up into the attic space but got so scared and freaked out they deleted it! Was really gutted. My wardrobe was also bad with bangs coming from it and you could never photograph it! The camera flash stopped but worked an inch to the left and the right of the wardrobe but not on it and the batteries would drain in a minute from fully charged! Weird!
