Ah Bob Flowerdew who told people to put carpets on their gardens as weed suppressants- nevermind all the plastics and whatevers that are in modern carpets.
I have just remembered what this discussion has reminded me of- the Dune novels, set in worlds where water is so precious that everydrop is recycled, including the dead. When energy shortages grip tighter I wonder if they will find a better use for us than a hole in the ground!

far from soil your greens, have a look at this 400 bn project, it is just the start, they are planning to have these power stations all around the Med stretching inbto Egypt and Saudi Arabia, about time too. nevermind
