There may be a connection but they are clearly different - for instance belief in the afterlife may not mean one believes in the "paranormal".
Who can tell where this nonsense will take her? She may take up "healing" or ripping people off by promising to clear spirits from houses. It's a slippery slope this paranormal nonsense...

As I mentioned previously spirituality covers a large range of subjects which also includes the supernatural. Supernatural themes are often associated with paranormal ideas which therefore would suggest that your previous statement that there is a huge difference between spirituality and spiritualism is infact incorrect.
As far as her future is concerned she may indeed take up healing, however she may also work at a fast food restaurant, be a customer service advisor, a doctor, lawyer or take up one of the many other thousand professions the world over. You cannot make assumptions of a persons character simply based on a difference of opinion. As individuals we are all intitled to our beliefs, ideas and opinions that is what makes us individuals however if we are to voice our opinions surely they should be of a constructive nature.
The only slippery slope that I can see here is one where people are all too ready to make judgement of others purely because they don't share the same beliefs.

Not at all, an unhealthy predisposition to take on this tripe at an early age is a good marker in terms of those who claim some ability to be a healer. My suggestion is entirely constructive - give up this drivel before it becomes a part of your life!

Thank goodness for you, i think people are very shallow these days and i do find people find my daughter rather out spoken, but she has very firm beliefs but keeps them to herself, she is a very gentle person with great understanding with a very healthy mind, like you i wish there was alot more people like her in the world, i have never influenced her and never would she is a person in her own right, and with this she has grown into a very mature person

Thats an interesting comment you make Jenny, you seem to give the impression you are the only one with a child with the gift or indeed out spoken.
I have two children both of which are nicly out spoken not in a rude way, good mannered and both have the gift, which we as parents have not encouraged at there young teenage age, there will be a time for them to take it on board but that time is not now, for a fare it may well disrupt there understanding of life with confusion of death and the spritual world, In fact as we know they are at the vunerable age which could be dangerous as they are easy pray for the more evil side of sprituality, we as parents are not prepared to place our children with such confusing issues.
Some children come across as being quite clever but with no experience of life that comes with age.
With respect you may well be teaching your daughter to run before she can walk.
