Wallis do'nt, Buk, may do, and I certainly do'nt, but as all three are one who knows. I have sailed out of Lowerstoft though, ghastly place, if the world ever got piles thats where they would erupt.

No Scaramouche. More of a different type of topic. Page after page dedicated to the Khyber pass. Even University discourse about the subject. I remain ,nothing much ChristopherE

Due to the volume of crap passing through this site it`s a wonder that it hasn`t got piles . Dek.

Fic? No- he's from Sussex or so he says, land of white cliffs , stony beaches and Brighton. Very pretty in parts though I wonder if he has had a hand in this rebranding of Upper Goat and the rest as " The Norwich Lanes" Brighton style. It makes me want to hurl with the sheer contrived eekness of it ( words fail me) No doubt some Norwich person will put me right but until recently I had never seen this- there are after all a huge number of lanes all over the city and indeed the county- the word is so unexceptional that surely we never made a point of it before? And please, whilst it may be Suf-fic it is most surely Nor ***.( with just a hint of the l in there somewhere)

Ho hum- yes and aren't they expensive little places too. Perhaps I am just being an old fuddy duddy but I couldn't see why Upper Goat Lane and all the others in between Exchange Street and Potter gate or there abouts needed a "brand" If it comes to Norwich "lanes" why not Norwich "gates". Just sounded like some brand consultant being brought in by Jarrolds and co. Fair enough they have to drum up business in the face of competition from Chapel field but I still think it sounds contrived. The tumble weed was blowing through Castle Mall when I last went- wonder if it will recover if and when we pull out of the recesssion or have we lost one of the historic parts of Norwich to build a very short lived white elephant

quite so, gardener
are more punters likely to indulge in retail therapy if somewhere is dubbed the 'lanes' rather than the 'pits'?

I am applying to Breckland District Council for a permit to keep a camel

rabbits? When I was a kid people in the village used to keep rabbits for food and pick hogweed and dandelions from the verges to feed them. No doubt a practice left over from harder times in WW2 and before Not as easy to milk as a camel though. What about a goat? My grandmother used to keep goats when they lived too far away from a milk round but had no room for a cow. They would eat your vegetable waste. William Cobbetts Cottage economy will tell you how to keep a cow on a cottagers plot.
