So Norwich have got what they deserved and have been relegated. You can not argue after three years of poor and bad ability shown on the pitch. The results of their endevers are there in black anad white in their league table and with several nightmare performances that were not addressed throughout the season, they dropped from the prem to league one in four years.
With less revenue in the lower league one they will struggle to get back and may stay in league one for several years with the same attitued that has got them there.... if they do not change. Looking towards the youth of the club in years to come will keep costs down and help build a team to be proud of. The lack of money available is the same problem for many other clubs created by the unfair system of the football league in general.
95% of clubs are either in debt or win nothing year after year. The football league is geared to the fortunes of the top ten in the prem league and the remaining teams in the football leagues just make up the numbers. The difference of wealth and ability of the top 10 teams compared to the other 4 lower leagues is dramatic to say the least, giving little chance for lower teams to compete with the prem or even get into that league for financial gain.
Norwich are now at a very low ebb and need a big injection of capital invetment to progress and get back into the championship league and the whole team needs to be reassested and many should go, dead rotten wood is no good to anybody and non achievers ....do just that. Too many past results have been given the most stupid excuses by so many, including reporters and football pundits and Norwich managers...... excuses for losing a football match never achieved anything...apart from in Norwich`s case achieving relegation

You seem to put a lot of store by investment and cash Robert - yet they have/had Premiership funding, parachute compensation, Delia and a loyal fan base in those four years. They also had as many managers in those seasons and innumerable signings, loans and sales. What they didn't have is a team that had Norwich stamped into its heart. Money isn't everything. The lust to win compensates for much.

Yes Citizen, they have had prem funding, parachute compensation, Delias cash input and loyal fans etc.
That has now ended with a big cash loss of further input, the only saving grace is the fan base.
Yes money is a big factor in their future, they are already in considerable debt and lack of buying better players has been their downfall. Yes their lack of heart and desire of not having a squad that actually played any consistant football over the past 3 years, was never addressed correctly resulting in their their present situation. Finance not available being one reason and as you say players not playing to their full ability and lust to win being another.
If money was available I would have thought several players could have been replaced. Remember they got to the prem 4 years ago, but did not invest at a pivot time to ensure they stayed in the prem and got sharply kicked back down to the championship again. They never recovered from their exit from the prem in the next three years, not buying suitable players to keep them in the prem and then not buying suitable players to keep them in the championship for whatever reason is now history.
The question now remains what are Norwich going to do now to get back into the championship or even stay in league one. You invest in better players with abilty or give up coming youngsters from the ranks a chance to show their worth or a combination of both, and the remit should be to bounce straight back to the championship. Lessons must be learnt fom the folly of the past three years of flirting with relegation that they did not address.
You can`t run a football team on the cheap and with the good fan base of over 20,000 there is a good income every year so what are they doing with all that money, selling good players is not a good option when you want to seek glory and build a successful team, likewise keeping dead wood players is not an option either. The longer they stay in league one they will incur even more financial loss creating a downward spiral if they are not careful.
Money mainly buys success in football, thats why the top flight in the prem are where they are, and the other 75% poorer teams are where they are in lower leagues.

I see the EDP reports of selling Norwich City goalkeeper David Marshall for less than the possible £1m paid for him....
So as usual sell players and reduce the squad which has been the case far to often. Sadly in the present contex players may well wish to leave the club anyway and stay in the championship.
Is selling players to reduce their debt the way forward, or is it to get money to buy better players....?
Next season will be interesting to see how the supposed changes at all levels at NCFC, will impact on their performance on the pitch.

One Norwich City fan is very busy at the moment to fight off the challenge from Suffolk. Craig Murray is very upset about the league switch and will cheer on Norwich in their forthcoming friendly.
I am offering £10 to anybody who can find out where Cloe Smith, Cons. candidate for Norwich North, comes from, cause she does not want to say.
But why?
What would make somebody hide their heritage when standing in Norwich? dare I say this supposition, is the dilr from Suffolk, or even.... I just cannot say it. nevermind
