EMF readers A question?
Just out of interest.
I have never used an EMF meter....I was just wondering for people that have used them on this forum, can they pick up on a person if the EMF meter is aimed at them?
Best wishes
Eddie

Re: EMF readers A question?
Depends on what type you use.

There are also other factors to consider too.

Remember, they weren't designed to detect ghosts but are good at what they're designed for.

Kind Regards

Re: EMF readers A question?
The group I was in last night used an EMF meter....It flickered briefly once...but the weirdest thing was that the elastic band which held it switched on got moved off the switch twice (and we tested how difficult it would be for it to just fall off and it took a lot of movement for it to come off) and it moved 45deg the second time it happened! The only time it flickered however WAS when the band had come off the switch which we all thought was strange!  I have seen one react strongly before tho in an area where there was previously no register at all! So I'm kinda half and half on these!

Re: EMF readers A question?
Hi Mark
The reason why I asked this question is this.

It is said in the spiritual world that the human body is but a vessel for the soul/spirit to travel in while on this Earth plane.

I was thinking that if an EMF meter did not pick up a person when it was pointed at that person, then you can say goodbye to an EMF meter working on a spirit.

An interesting reason for asking that question hey.

Best wishes
Eddie

I think that it's easy to forget that a EMF meter simple detects fluctuations in the EM field. They don't detect ghosts.

Over 99% (and I'm being generous) of the devices you see are totally unsuitable for what so called investigators use them for and of the 1% remaining, 99% of those are not used correctly.

Nice toy? Definately! Any practical use on an investigation? No so sure.

Turning to your thoughts Eddie, a person will give a reading, everyone has a natural electrical field.

Kind Regards

Re: EMF readers A question?
Cheers Mark
I sopose that the one thing that an EMF meter can be used for is in a suposed haunted house that proved not to be haunted, do to the EMF meter picking up on bad electrics.

Bad electrics can give off a field that can make some people feel ill & then think that a place is haunted do to the reason of bad electrics.

One interesting case that I have just heard of was from a friend. That friend told me that he was in a house that is known to be haunted & he had an EMF meter & the EMF meter went off. He said that he was liturally following a reading acrross a room.

At first when it disapered he thought that it was a false reading...He moved the meter & he picked it up again. When the signal stoped he moved the meter & it went off again.....He was quite amazed by this.

He said that he was following it about the room for 10 minutes before it stoped without cause. 5 other people witnesed this event at the house

This I thought was an interesting one, as I know my friend dont fake up storys of spirits & hauntings.....His friend is a medium & he is now going out in the field on paranormal studies with him & the ghost group Southern Paranormal

Best wishes
Eddie.

Re: EMF readers A question?
Cant really comment with any authority without knowing the device in question, but a lot of them will give off false readings if moved.

Likewise, one of the more popular ones will become more 'sensitive' the more the button is pressed.

There are also loads of other specifics depending on the device.

Kind Regards

Re: EMF readers A question?
I have seen one respond to questions quite distinctly and clearly.....and that is something I cannot explain! I admit I wouldnt know what is a good one or what is not! All I know is that I saw an EMF respond very positively in areas where there was definately no electrical current....and when it was answering questions there was nothing else that could have been affecting it.....left me open minded as Ive been in a situation where I was fairly sure there was a paranormal presence there...but absolutely no EMF readings

Re: EMF readers A question?
I can explain it. You are so desperate to believe that this thing detects the presence of paranormal activity that you are capable of fooling yourself into believing almost anything happened.

Someone somewhere decided that these things detect ghosts, whoever did was probably an EMF reader salesmen. A brilliant case of finding a device, getting a reading and working backwards to extrapolate that it was caused by ghosts.

Thoroughly dimwitted.

Yes u are darling now you obviously do not have the slightest regard for anyone elses beliefs just the lovely bitter side of you that attacks what you do and cannot ever understand. I feel so sorry for you and I know you have attacked people on this forum for ages. I just find it appauling that the forum moderators allow you to make yourself look so desperate for attention all the time through your public attacks on others. I do think you should seek help for your compulsion to bully and insecurities.  Contact your local GP for advice they can access some wonderful psychotherapists. I do urge that you consider this as its obvious this is a long-running problem and this is your only current outlet for your inner rage and fury!

Thanks for your comments, I will however in this instance ignore them :-)

You seem very stressed. Instead of whining about what I have posted I would suggest you read it and have a very hard think (if you're capable) and maybe, just maybe, a chink of light might break through thw sepulchral darkness in your head and you may just begin to understand the real world around you.

Ghosts aren't real, mediums are frauds, there is no such things as the paranormal. Think hard now!
