21/03/2009, 11:53 AM Trish1908 Joined on 21/03/2009 Posts 1 Overman/ Overment (Dunton/ Sculthorpe/ Thursford areas) I am looking for any information on the above family. Some time in the 1880/ 90s the name seems to have changed from Overman to Overment. I am searching for any descendents of John Overman and his wife Elizabeth. So far I know the following: in the 1841 census they were living in Dunton Cum Doughton, with their children Mathew, Thomas and Mark.In this census they are listed as aged 40, 45, 15, 13 and 10 respectively The youngest - Mark, married a Frances Skillings, and in the 1881 census they are shown as having 5 children living with them - Robert (born abt 1859) Sarah Ann (born abt 1862) Margarett (born abt 1870) Jemima (born abt 1874) Elizabeth (born abt 1876) all of which seem to have regrister as Overman at birth but the surname in this census is now OVERMENT I know that they had at least one other child - John Johnson Overment - my great grandfather, (born abt 1865) who married a Dinah Woodhouse I am also looking for any information on a Charles Overmn, who (accorinding to the parish register died in jan 1891 'killed by a gunshot' Any information greatly appreciated.
