Smile [:)] alderman jex school

I was at alderman jex from late 1940 to 1941 left at christmas that year age 14 to go to work,I left bull close school august 1939 was unable to go to school until air raid shelters were built,then spent quite a lot of time in air raid shelters.teachers I recall then wascharlie lynes quite a character he took maths and stringcraft, chuck thrower, h mansfield music,fred eke wonderful piano player,mr evans woodwork also a mr hastings also woodwork a mr stanton metalwork mr ong p.t. mr thetford,mr bullen english a mr scarlet who came up from bull close a m/s ahley,brighty and knights is there a roll of honour at the school? i enjoyed my schooldaysand had a much fun though they were much more strict,receiving a clout from mr thurston who was an art teacher, I respect all my teachers.
