Having just read the EDP's review regarding the current show at The Theatre Royal in Norwich, I thought that others might like to hear my review. I walked into the theatre, not quite knowing what to expect, as I had never seen the film but what a show!!! It was fantastic!!! If anybody is in two minds as to whether to go or not, then I would suggest that you definitely go. And if any men out there are thinking that it's just a show for women, then they would be very pleasantly surprised to find that there's plenty of treats in store for them too! And you never know, you might even learn a thing or two......! The production was definitely quirky - it was also seductive, humorous, naughty, cheeky, thought-provoking, tastefully sensuous & bewitching. When the interlude arrived, I sat on my seat completely spellbound & it took me a minute or two to realise that I wasn't actually living in Eastwick myself, let alone being intoxicated by Daryl Van Horne....... Talk about falling under the spell..... The singing was brilliant, the dancing was brilliant, the effects were brilliant, the entire cast were brilliant & Marti Pellow makes for the ideal, extremely devilish lead character. I loved it & wish that I was lucky enough to go again. If it does hit the West End, then that would certainly be a weekend away for me. Just brilliant. The only downside to it all, is that unfortunately, in this life, I will never, ever have the talent to be playing one of his leading ladies! They are certainly very lucky ladies indeed...... mind you, I think he was a pretty lucky man himself!
