I just can't stand Norwich and some of the people in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been Norwich's biggest fan. The town annoys me, most of the people in it annoy me. I'm a supporter of Norwich City FC, but I hate the way that we are now suddenly meant to worship the Gunn family because Bryan Gunn is now manager. I read in the local press recently how we should look upto them as a "model family". Why? I'm already part of a model family, I'm sure plenty of other people are too. I don't speak out of jealousy so please don't mis-understand me, I speak more out of frustration as people just assume that they must be lorded because Gunn played for Norwich several hundred times and is now in the hot seat where lets be honest, he is struggling.

It's not only this that annoys me, it's just the whole mentality of some people in Norwich. Especially those who frequent venues such as the Mercy VIP area on a Friday and Saturday night. I very rarely go to Mercy, but recently I went to the VIP area where I was suprised at how many females there were scattered about the place who all thought they were some kind of celebrity. My friend pointed to one particular female who was certainly very pretty, but her downfall was she knew it and she wanted everyone else to see just how great she was. I've later learned that this girl has been in a few films and TV shows and is a "well known" model from the Norwich area. I did some digging to see what films she had been in and it appears she gets a bit of local press from time to time because of these films, it seems to escape people's attention that all she has been in these films and TV projects is an EXTRA, yet she and the local press try and make out that she is some kind of local film star. She isn't.

Another thing that annoys me is how everyone thinks the famous Puppet Man is fantastic and funny. He's not. He scammed a lot of people when he said that he was leaving Norwich for another job. Therefore passers by were only too pleased to give more money as this was the last time they thought they would see him. Yet the next day, he was back and still is. Doing what he did before, jumping around with two tatty looking socks and a dated cassette player and sometimes if we're lucky, an Elvis lookalike, not a professional, just a mate of his who wants 'in' on the action. We laugh at him for what he does, but lets face it, when you take away the "Puppet Man" image that has been created, he is just a man in his late 50's/early 60's jumping around in a busy street with a pair of socks.

Writing's going well by the way.

To be honest I can see why you're finding it a struggle to establish yourself as a comedy writer, sorry.

Maybe this isn't really you but here you come across as quite humourless and bitter and a bit too focused on those you claim to think so little of. One of those people who sit on the sidelines getting annoyed about the pretty girls and successful men and focus on others' negatives instead of the positives they themselves can contribute.
