Want to know what it's really like on the inside?
Rather than witter on myself, why not let one of our work experience visitors have give you all an insight, we thought.
So, having been joined this week by Norwich City College student Ian Phillips, here is his take on his last day in the office...
"For this week I have been on work experience on the sportsdesk at Archant. Throughout the week I have been at Prospect House, all except for this morning. I was fortunate to have been allowed to travel to Colney, Norwich City Football Club’s training ground, in order to attend a conference with Bryan Gunn and Ian Butterfield.
"When I arrived there was already half a dozen journalists waiting for the manager. It was interesting to see how well everyone got on and how well they knew each other, despite working for different companies and different media.
"We did have to wait a while before the manager arrived, so everyone was joking around and making tea and coffee. When Gunn and Butterworth arrived the conference began promptly. I made sure that the room had my entire attention, as I wanted to take in everything; the questions, the responses, body language etc. I wanted to get all the gossip and to make sure people felt I belonged.
"Now, I’ve been to conferences before, but compared to then this was very serious, so I wanted to make a good impression.
"The questioning began and the questions were probing. Each reporter was determined to get Gunn to give up an exclusive and to get as much information out of him as possible. However, the questions were answered in a way as to which we got the necessary information, but also not giving too much away.
"After the conference the reporters were given an opportunity to speak to Bryan Gunn and Ian Butterworth separately. In a small room, they were besieged with continuous questioning. I had to stand back from this as a crowd of journalists were surrounding the two men with their microphones, something that I didn’t want to get in the way of.
"Something I was looking forward to was interviewing some of the players, as I watch them a lot in the stands and it would be nice to meet them. However, because of the annoying weather conditions that have plagued Britain this week, the players weren’t going to get to the ground until after I was due to leave.
"Fortunately, City keeper David Marshall was at the ground as he is someone who likes time to prepare himself. Once again the journalists converged on the player asking him questions, meaning I had to stick back again.
"I did enjoy the conference as even though I wasn’t involved too much, just being in the presence of professionals and getting to hear all the news first hand and before the public was great. Ian"
