An 'unnatural' holiday centre
The Broads are one of 11 National Parks found in England and Wales, located in North Suffolk and East Norfolk. They include a series of lakes, marshes and fen as well as 200km of navigable water, which are found alongside the rivers Ant, Bure, Thurne, Yare, Chet and Waveney. They cover an area of 303 km², with a population of 5500. Map

The Broads are a series of popular inland waterways used primarily for holidays and leisure.

In the early 1950s, Dr Joyce Lambert discovered that the Broads are not a natural feature, but a series of flooded pits, which were dug during the middle ages. An area of 28333 olympic swimming pools in total.
