Alison Page, sales director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia, speaks about home buying schemes for key workers.

Supporting key workers isn’t just a nice gesture; it’s an essential investment in our communities.

That’s why we’ve made it a priority to provide boosts to those who dedicate their lives to serving others.

As a responsible developer, we understand the significance of having a place to call home, especially for those whose jobs demand unwavering dedication and sacrifice.

That’s why we’re proud to offer initiatives like our Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme, designed to ease the financial burden for those who tirelessly serve our communities.

What is the Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme?

As a thank you for the support provided to our communities, we are offering key workers a contribution towards their deposit, plus we’ll include 1pc of the purchase price towards flooring with each energy-efficient, brand-new home purchased under the scheme.

Under the scheme, for every £20,000 spent on the purchase price, we will contribute £1,000 towards the home buyer’s deposit.

For example, for a home costing £325,000, purchasers would qualify for a contribution of £16,250.

There is no price limit on the property a purchaser could buy, as long as they are eligible for the scheme. There is no maximum income limit either, buyers just need to meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme.

Who is eligible?

If you are currently employed by one of the following bodies or institutions, you may be eligible for the scheme: NHS, education, police force, fire service, Ministry of Defence, environmental service, National Highways, Probation Service, local authority, HM Prison Service, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), and foster carers.
